All over the world, audiovisual archive treasures are waiting to be discovered !
Every year the International Federation of Television Archives gives two unique Awards to television productions and new media applications using archive material.
Established in 1994, by now this is a well established Award, known through out the world. The Television Archive Award has been presented since 1994 and honours television productions, first transmitted or produced in the previous year, which make best use of audiovisual archive material.
It is sponsored by the German company TECMATH. Award value : 5.000 Euros
This new award, given for the first time in 2002 in Antalya, is for the best use of archival material in a new media application, first published in the previous year. It honours multi media applications like websites, DVDs, CD-Rom's etc., using significantly archival material.
It is sponsored by the German company GLS. Award value : 3.500 Euros
