FIAT/FOCAL Summer School July 1st - 5th, 2002

This five-day UK event is held in London and East Anglia and is designed for archive personnel and researchers on an international basis. Learn all about film, video and how it is used in new programming. The course includes current and future copyright issues facing archives and researchers.

Included in the programme are visits to major archive holdings at the BBC, at the National Film and Television Archive, Canal+, ITN, British Movietone and East Anglia as well as commercial storage, exampled at Abbot Data Store. Additionally, delegates will attend FOCAL's London Copyright Conference; and the organisation's major networking event, a social evening on HMS Belfast on the River Thames.

The cost of the course at £900 includes accommodation, breakfast and lunches in East Anglia (two days and nights), London events entry and event transportation, but does not include train fares and London accommodation.
