FACTS ABOUT THE TECHNICAL CO-ORDINATING COMMITTEE (TCC)The TCC was formed in 1987. The formation of the TCC was a result of the "Consultation of Users and Manufacturers of Audio-Visual Equipment for Archives", held on May 24th and 25th in Berlin. At a meeting at the offices of INA, Paris, in 1987 a new committee was established. Two representatives from the appropriate technical bodies within FIAT, FIAF, IASA and ICA were to be appointed.The chairman of FIAT/IFTA Technical Committee has been FIAT‚s representative in the TCC. Since the chairman of the FIAT/IFTA Technical Committee, Tedd Johansen, was replaced by Denis Frambourt in January 1995, Denis Frambourt consequently is for the time being FIAT/IFTA‚s representative in the TCC. FIAT/IFTA members who are interested in technical matters must contact Denis Frambourt in the future for information in the field of new technology. Denis Frambourt is working for INA in Paris.

The Purpose of the TCC" ...The purpose of TCC is to act as a steering body for the co-ordination of common international technical work in the field of preservation and restoration of audio, film and television projects covering such areas as Education and Training, the Gathering and Dissemination of Information, Liason with the International Technical Standards Organisations, Professional Societies and Industry, and the Promotion of Audio.Visual Archives Work..."If you want the TCC to work on project you find interesting do not hesitate to mail or fax your proposals to Denis Frambourt working in INA, Paris.
